Our history and commitments
Camping Armor Loisirs
In the picturesque village of Trébeurden, Brittany, the history of the Camping Armor Loisirs dates back to 1968, when a family from Trébeurden itself decided to create a haven for nature lovers and holidaymakers in search of tranquillity. Situated between the green valleys and rugged shores of the Breton coast, this family-run campsite offered a few rudimentary pitches for tents and caravans, in an unspoilt setting.
Over the years, the campsite has passed through a number of hands, but its natural charm and privileged location have always attracted outdoor enthusiasts. In the 1980s, it was sold to an English family who made a number of improvements, including the addition of modern sanitary facilities and a number of leisure amenities.

Then, in the 2000s, it was the turn of a Dutch family to take over ownership. Under their management, the campsite underwent a new phase of expansion, with the addition of comfortable mobile homes and extra services to meet the needs of the ever-increasing number of European holidaymakers discovering the wild beauty of the Breton coast.
In 2010, a new page was written in the history of Camping Armor Loisirs. The Guégou family, originally from Île-Grande, fell under the spell of this place steeped in memories and traditions. Driven by a passion for preserving the site’s Breton soul while breathing new energy into it, the Guégou family undertook extensive renovation and embellishment work.
Today, Camping Armor Loisirs in Trébeurden stands out not only for its friendly atmosphere and exceptional natural setting, but also for its commitment to preserving the environment. The Guégou family have added a new ecological dimension to this family heritage, implementing sustainable initiatives such as selective sorting, the use of renewable energies, and raising holidaymakers’ awareness of the need to protect the surrounding environment.
In this spirit, every stay at Camping Armor Loisirs becomes a responsible camping experience, where the pleasures of discovering Brittany blend harmoniously with respect for the earth and its resources. Whether strolling along the coastal paths, taking part in environmental awareness workshops, or simply enjoying local produce at the village market, holidaymakers are invited to play their part in this ecological approach, helping to preserve this natural jewel for future generations.
